My sister always asks me when my music career is going to go off. Mostly, I think, because she wants to be my manager and travel the world on hypothetical world tours.

Sometimes I'd Google artists and see what age they start their music careers. The answers are always humbling. 19. 17. 14. I'm 23 this year, which in itself is oddly rude. But it also seems that maybe it's time to concede the fact that I will not be the next big YouTube sensation to be discovered by Usher or DJ Khaled.

But then again Alex Pall from the Chainsmokers only started his music career at a truly grandpa-ish age of 27. Maybe not all hope is lost then. Let me go tell my sister I'll be headlining Tomorrowland next year.

There is still one small more problem though...

How do you even produce music? And I mean commercially viable, radio pop music for the modern age?

Introducing Soundtrap - the easiest way to your path to global fame! It offers not only a visually appealing and well formatted online DAW for the amateur producer but also interconnectivity for you, your fellow musicians, and of course your audience.

Experimenting on Soundtrap is intuitive, perfect for producing noobs like myself, laying out all the key features of MIDI and audio effects such as loops, pans and other automations, and a whole library of sounds, just to briefly skim the surface. Importantly, it acts as a way to introduce electronic music production in a safe and easy-to-understand environment.

Here are two tracks I made using Soundtrap (and a little bit of Logic X).

This music producing stuff is a lot of fun and presents a great learning experience without the necessity of traditional music instrumental skills nor even traditional notation, and yet provides lots of opportunities to explore musical concepts.

Best of all, Soundtrap is FREE!

This is all starting to sound a bit too ad-like #notsponsored.
